– External and self-rescue in ice accidents

PRACTICAL TRAINING

– Preparation, logistics and organization
– Equipment above and below water
– Safeguarding and implementation
– Knots & line signals
– Safety (emergency plan & rescue chain)
– Dive with belay operator (line guidance and signals, orientation, experience mediation)
– Simulation of icing

PRECONDITIONS

– ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER or equivalent brevet
– Impeccable knowledge of navigation
– Minimum age 18 years
– Valid diving medical certificate or medical self-declaration
– Diving equipment according to EN 250

DURATION

– 1 days, consisting of theoretical & practical training (3 dives)

ADDITIONAL COSTS

– Diving equipment / rental equipment (if none available)
– Dive center fees
– Tank fillings
– Certification costs
