Kreidesee Hemmoor is one of the most famous dive sites in Europe. Sports and technical divers will find a diving paradise with depths of up to 60 meters in the former open-cast cement mine. The local diving center offers maximum service with comfortable entry, a filling service for all gases and even its own DLRG base.
A campsite with holiday homes completes the offer for a perfect weekend stay.
Seven entrances lead to a diverse diving area. The famous “Rüttler” can be reached via a paved road. Chalk rock that was mined was once delivered here – today divers can sink down to more than 30 meters through the large chute. Conveyor belts or concrete rollers also tell the story of the Kreidesee. Whether it’s a steep wall, practice platforms, shipwrecks or an airplane – Hemmoor has something for everyone.
