COURSE CONTENT
FIRST AID (CPR)
In this Part of the course, you will learn the steps and techniques to provide appropriate assistance in life-threatening emergencies. You will learn and practice several skills to help patients who are not breathing, have no heartbeat, may have suffered a spinal injury, are in shock, or are bleeding heavily. In particular, you will learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to continuously monitor a patient’s condition to give them every possible chance of survival until emergency services (paramedics, ambulance, etc.) arrive.
INJURIES
Many medical emergencies are not life-threatening, but emergency services are sometimes delayed or unavailable. Therefore, in this course, you will learn how to provide first aid to relieve pain and reduce the risk of further harm. You will learn to assess various injuries and conditions and practice applying bandages and splints.
PEDIATRIC CARE
In this section, participants learn and practice skills to help children and adolescents in medical emergencies. This section is aimed at individuals who work with children or who may encounter children and young people in an emergency.
CPR & AED
This part of the first aid course focuses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). If company regulations or legal obligations require such training, the CPR and AED course can be used for this purpose.
WORKPLACE FIRST AID
In some countries, such as the UK, Australia, and Canada, companies are legally required to train their employees in CPR and first aid. The Workplace First Aid program has been specifically developed for these countries and includes additional topics and skills to meet these regulations. Naturally, our learning principle of easy learning applies here as well.
